Our family is going to DL 15 Feb - 22 Feb 2019. Will swimming be possible at all or are the pools closed? I know it depends on the weather, but I'm trying to figure out if it's even a possibility.
Mid February this year (during President's week), the lows were like 40's. We actually cancelled our trip because of that and the walls up on Main Street, and rides closed, and went to WDW instead. I hadn't realized it was so cool in February there!
It really varies a lot. It can be in the 90s or the 40/50's. This year has been COLD all year. The high on Sunday was only 68, in June. In 2016, though, we had a 7 day heat wave where it was in the 90s. It's really impossible to know what you are going to get. It can also be quite rainy in February.
Feb is fun. You can be freezing one day and sweating in a tank and shorts the next. Valentine’s Day and around there seems to usually be in the 70s, getting cooler towards March.

Pools are usually open, but, I think it depends on where you are from. If you are from Minnesota, for example, the water may feel fine, if you are from AZ, the water may be to cold.

While you got lucky at WDW, do you realize it could have literally been freezing in Orlando for that week? 2015 princess weekend it was freezing, at least for the 5K. This year it wasn't cold, but from my experience so far, honestly, that was a fluke.
My son and I went in late Feb this year and it was in the upper 60s/low 70s during the warmest part of the day. We swam every day of our trip! It was amusing to get weather alerts from home about ice storms while we enjoyed the sunshine. It was a little chilly going from the pool back to the room, but not too bad. We were at the Marriott suites and the only issue was that after about 2pm the hotel started to cast a shadow on the pool, and the shadowy area WAS cold.
