Swimming in December?

WP- one of the water parks

OOOOH. I live in Austin Texas and we don't swim unless it is at least 80 outside! Brrrr. and my sneaky secret is that I don't swim unless it is at least 88.... Once it hits 85 I am in the hot tub!

I'm going in December this year too and I am adamant that me and BF are going to the waterparks! (don't know if I'll bother with ASMo's pool though)

Mind you, we are British, and as long as the water is heated we should be fine.

Of course, I won't make my BF go swimming if it is too cold..

We were at Disney I think it was in 98 or 99 end of April beginning of May. Weather was Hot, Hot, Hot high 90's for 3 days, then it turned cold, how cold low 50's and windy. They even closed the WP that cold day. Two days later it was high 90's again. As Forest Gump would say "Disney like a box of chocolate's you never know what you'll get"

Check the weather before you go. That way you will have an idea on what to expect during your stay.

When I went in 2003, I swam every day. The temps were a little cool in the morning and at night, but wonderful during the day.

When I went in 2002, it was nice the first few days, then they had a cold snap and it was just too darn nippy to go swimming.

We were there Dec. 6-15, 2004. The long-range forecast hadn't said anything about a cold snap, but we were prepared anyway. The first week it was warm and we swam often (Typhoon Lagoon is always a MUST for me). At the end of the trip the temperature dipped into the 30's at night, and one night hit freezing.
