We will be at WDW the week of April 9-16. Will it be warm enough to swim at the hotel in mid day? (Without freezing)...

Yes, very likely. We were there at the end of April last year and the weather was very hot already. The highs were topping 89!!!!

we were in WDW last march and it was definitley warm enough to swim! we did TL, BB and we swam in the pool.
But, for us, it wasn't warm enough to swim at night (but we saw many people in the resort pool at 8-9pm)

...So I think April will be perfect, even at night ;)

There are not many days in Orlando which are literally "freezing", so I assume you mean "uncomfortably cold". And then I will say that I have no way of knowing what you would find uncomfortable.

That said, my advice is to bring swimwear any time of the year, just to be prepared. Florida winters can be unpredictable, with weather ranging from quite warm (70s) down to brisk (30s and below), sometimes during the same week!

Also, the pools are heated.

I think most people would agree that by April, things have warmed up enough that swimming should be just fine.

Given you are from TX that may vary from us MI but we swim every trip all different times of year.

The average high during the second weekof April in Orlando is around 80 degrees. It will be more than plenty warm enough to swim.

In 10 WDW vacations in the first week in March we've never failed to have multiple pool days per trip. April in Orlando will be like High Summer for the rest of the country.

We've taken many April trips and for all we enjoyed Hot weather...80's and some 90's some years. I'm sure you'll be able to swim!

I hope so we are going in April too, we swam in January last year so I'm sure April will be fine! But we are British and were determined to make use of the pool! :rotfl:

I've been able to swim at WDW in December, January and February! Unless you encounter some kind of freak cold snap (which is highly unlikely beyond early March), you're likely to have pretty hot weather.

My dd was swimming Christmas Day at Pop so I think that you should be fine

Here now. Folks are in the pool! It's probably about 65 degrees today, pools are warmed...to what temp I don't know. April....oh yes....you'll be swimming!

We were there at the end of April last year and it was HOT. We went in the pool several times. A couple years ago we were there at the end of March and it was cold - we had to buy sweatshirts to wear around the parks during the day. Definitely unpredictable but I think you'll be ok. I've traveled to the Caribbean a bunch of times and April is always the best time for that - warm but not uncomfortable and no rain!

We visited WDW last year the first week of April and it was plenty warm enough for swimming. The day we arrived it was cloudy and a little rainy, but still warm enough to get in the water. Be sure to pack your swimming suits!
