Swimming for anyone there now

I am just curious for those who are at WDW right now, have you seen anyone using the pools?
With all the talk on here about the weather, I am sure I would not be letting my kids in the pool.

My friend is near Disney and said its like 25 degrees there this morning LOL! BUT by Saturday its supposed to be in the high 70s she said!!!!!

I live near the mouse and it is COLD today. Some of my plants died even after covering them We are in for another cold night - frost warings are in This stuff is normal for this time of year. Most times it is just for a few days and the it is ok again. By Friday, we should be back in the 70s again during the day. During the night, it should be about 50s ish
The good thing about the cold is that you don't sweat as much.

I keep reading about all the cold down there and was wondering if anyone has seen anyone in the pools down there at the resorts?
I know I wouldn't get in the water, but I am wondering if there are some who are brave enough.

Yes, there have been some people in the pools even though it's very cold.

The pools are heated, so I am sure it is nice when you are in. When you get out....that is another factor!

I read somewhere a while ago where the pools are heated to 80-82 F. Last Dec getting out at night was a little chilly - I had sweat pants and a hoodie to put on after a really quick dry off......or bounced over to the hot tub.

Anyone in the pool is obviously not a Floridian... We are the ones bundled up in 70 degrees. (You'd think it is 20 degrees by the way we dress and complain about the cold)...

Despite being heated, Disney WILL CLOSE the pools once it gets below a certain temperature. We have seen the resort pools closed on trips where it was below about 40-45F.

I can't wait for my first trip to Boardwalk in three weeks! We always stayed at Contemporary so this is a big change....We are staying in a standard room, is there a view we should request? Thanks

I am sure some hearty 'Northerners' were in the pool! LOL We joked last year that you can tell where people are from based on their attire. We were walking around in shorts and tank tops because to us it was HOT (we are Michiganders). I remember being in the pool one night and seeing people walk by wearing winter coats. I thought 'seriously people?!?' Not doubt they were thinking the same thing about us! All I cared about was that fact that there literally WAS a blizzard going on back home and yet we were in the pool...felt warm to me!

I consider myself a hearty 'Northener' being from Canada and again you still wouldnt catch me in the pool at the temps i am seeing down there right now.
I hate the snow and the cold and have been soooooooo happy at our very mild winter.
Apparently we have sent it all down to Florida! lol

Being from Seattle, 70+ degrees is fantastic weather for us. We don't get above 80 much... maybe a few weeks at most in the summer.

I will be wearing shorts in the parks with anything greater than 55 degrees. And the pool, as long as it's heated, will be no problem for our family.
