Hi,

For those of you that have experiance traveling to WDW during Thanksgiving week, what is the weather like? Is it really as hit or miss as I have read? We are traveling with friends that have three kids and they love the water. What do you think the chances of us being able to get afternoon pool time in is going to be?

The pools are heated but the air can be quite nippy even in the afternoons, kids don't seem to mind this as much as adults though. We've visited in Jan/Feb and found the kids were willing to swim if there was someone waiting poolside with a nice warm towel when they got out.

I was hoping that is what I was going to hear. Thanks for the quick reply.

We've spent the past 2 Thanksgiving weeks at WDW and will be back this T-giving. Both trips the weather was great--we wore shorts and t-shirts the whole trip and it was comfortable to swim--especially before 9 p.m. or so!!

once in December and could not in November as it was too cold! You just never know in Central Florida. Good luck!

Most of the time it is warm enough for shorts and t shirt during the day and we swam every day, maybe in the low 70s. But as soon as the sun goes down it gets nippy

Just what I was hoping to hear. We're going to be camping that week @ FW and I love to camp when it's mild to cool. Woo-hoo! Disney World, here we come!

...it was nippy -- in the upper 50s -- in the morning.

We did the 8 am Segway Tour at Epcot, and my wife and I are photographed wearing our down coats! But most days, by noon, it was very pleasant -- definitely swim-worthy weather! :) Have a great time!

Thanks for all of the replies. Kinda of what I thought about the weather. I will have to keep and eye on weather.com and then plan accordingly.

We have been able to swim each time we have gone, except this past January! We were small childless, so we were able to run a bit more, so did and our only chance to swim was late in the day and it was too cold. The trip in January 2004 though we did swim with no problems, even took the newborn in.
