Hi! Right now it looks like I'll book at the BC July 8 thru 11th. (Staying at WLV for 5 nights before this. By this time in our vacation the kids will be wanting to swim a lot. I know that SAB will be very crowded in July and I hate to spend the money for BC and not be able to enjoy the pool. Do you think we'd be better of at the Swan or maybe even BW? I've stayed at the Dolphin so we'd rather go to a different EPCOT resort. Thanks!

We have stayed at BCV the last 2 summers. We found that by 1 or 2 in the afternoon to find a place to put our towels and pool supplies was limited to NONE! We then started going in the morning around 10 and had our choice of chairs, table, location. Then we would leave after lunch around 2. We would either go to the Dunes Cove or back to the room for lunch and a rest. Then we would go to the parks in the evening. Nice plan if you have been to WDW many times and are staying over 2 weeks. SAB seemed to thin out around 4 or 5. The lifeguards usually quit checking individual room keys late in the afternoon or early evening.

The grotto pool and the Swan and Dolphin IS very nice just not quite as unique as SAB. My kids liked both but prefer SAB.

We have stayed Swan/Dolphin the last 2 years in July. We always go to the parks first thing in the morning to beat the heat, and then do the pool in the afternoon. The grotto pool always had plenty of lawn chairs and lots of shady spots too. The pool is huge and we never felt crowded though there was a little bit of a line at the slide.

To be more specific you're probably looking around 5pm at the earliest during the summer

I would tend to think that all the pools are going to be crowded in July! If SAB is crowded, you can count on BW pool being crowded also! At least SAB is spread out...BW pool is not and when it's crowded, man you feel like a sardine!

I think Swan/Dolphin is best bet for uncrowded pool - We've been to the Dolphin at peak times between Christmas/New Years and in June, and it NEVER felt crowded. However, if the grotto pool is the big draw, I think I would do the Dolphin again over the Swan - much more convenient.

All the Pools will be crowded during this time. But I would still stick with The Beach Club. We are checking into the Beach on July 11th.
Last Year we stayed at the Poly in July and that pool is much smaller, but never felt really crowded. With the size of SAB, you will be fine.

Enjoy, maybe we'll see you in passing?? :wave2:
