Swimming at night...

YIKES! :scared1: Be safe...I remember sitting in the staircases when I was growing up...not I'm dumb enough to sit next to the window and watch them b/c I think they are awesome. ;)

Be happy you aren't my neighbor at that point. :lmao:

Hon if you were skinny dipping in your pool and a bat was swooping you I'd love to be your neighbour. The free entertainment value alone! :lmao:

Just remember I just got out of the pool so things look smaller than actual.

Reminds me of this song by REM....except for that bat problem;)

Nightswimming deserves a quiet night.
The photograph on the dashboard, taken years ago,
turned around backwards so the windshield shows.
Every streetlight reveals the picture in reverse.
Still, it's so much clearer.
I forgot my shirt at the water's edge.
The moon is low tonight.

Nightswimming deserves a quiet night.
I'm not sure all these people understand.
It's not like years ago,
The fear of getting caught,
of recklessness and water.
They cannot see me naked.
These things, they go away,
replaced by everyday.

Nightswimming, remembering that night.
September's coming soon.
I'm pining for the moon.
And what if there were two
Side by side in orbit
Around the fairest sun?
That bright, tight forever drum
could not describe nightswimming.

You, I thought I knew you.
You I cannot judge.
You, I thought you knew me,
this one laughing quietly underneath my breath.
Nightswimming.

The photograph reflects,
every streetlight a reminder.
Nightswimming deserves a quiet night, deserves a quiet night.

What a perfect Sunday night womp womp fix..

If only we were not having the thunderstorm of all thunderstorms :scared: :scared: :scared:
I wish we had thunderstorms here in Washington.
I love swimming at night. I don't get to do it much, but it is so peaceful and cool. Can't say about the skinny dipping as I've never done it!

Add it to your list as a must do. It's just one of those things everyone has to do in life once. :rotfl:

Love swimming at night, we use to do it all the time as kids. Not so much anymore since we live in a Condo and our pool closes at 10pm but when I lived at home it was common place.

:lmao: I bet we'd hear a girly scream!

Oh of course....but would it be from him or us? :rotfl:

I'll let ya know the things you need to try as they come up. Who knows what kind of wild woman you really are. Maybe skinny dipping is one of the few things you haven't done. :thumbsup2

Makes me think of REM too.

Nightswimming is fabulous...but so is nighthottubbing.

Hate the skeeters though...and citronella never worked in Mississippi. Neither did the mosquito magnet.

I don't know anyone citronella works for. :confused3 Good marketing scam maybe? The only thing that works for me to some degree is bug spray with deet.

Though I wouldn't want to put it on all the parts you'd need to while skinny dipping. :scared1:

I used to love swimming in our pool at night, under the stars and the light of the moon. What a nice way to cool off, after a hot humid day.

I miss our pool... :sad1:

The last time I went swimming at night a bat swooped down at me. :scared: Never again.

:scared1: Well, that just put an end to my night swimming escapades!

When our pool was built we had a light installed in it, but rarely use it. It makes the pool and water look really cool, but it attracts every bug within a 10 mile radius.

I could never swim naked, i would feel so naked

:rotfl: awww, I'll bet ya could.
Night swimming is my favorite...so quiet and peaceful and if the bathing suit happens to fall off, well all the better:rolleyes1  Such a sense of freedom:)

Night swimming in a pool? Sure.

Night swimming in a lake, river, or ocean? No way! I saw Jaws! ;) I don't want to be swimming in the dark knowing that other creatures are also in the water.

Same here! We have a pool, that we can't be in after about 8pm, because of bats. A few years ago, my Uncle and his fam wanted to come swimming around that time. I told them fine, but the bats will swoop down on you to get water. They would take a chance they said. A few minutes later, everyone was screaming, and getting out of the pool. A bat landed on my little cousins head!:lmao: Told ya so!

i think i'm a mosquito magnet;) is this an actual device, never heard of it?

we've got bats too, luv them - they eat the bugs:thumbsup2 . usually stay clear of people.

Not sure whether we're being visited by biblical plagues or just a bad year for varmits. :confused3

Had problems with huge snakes (i've personally dispatched several) and (their food source) toads galore.:scared:

had to take youngest dog (schipperke - evidently bred for that sort of hunting- who knew lol) to vet-ER clinic when she ate too many (snakes or toads - not sure), evidently have a toxin.:rolleyes1 Said vet said even if the snakes aren't poisionous, it's not uncommon for pets to develop infections from the bites...yeeech.
