First timer going on the cruise (April 7 10 Year DVC anniversary cruise) Can anyone tell me if swimjackets for children (4 years old) to use the pool are available or do I have to bring my own?

You must bring your own. We purchased a little Speedo lifejacket/vest for our DS (1). There are also many children who use swim wings. Also--there are two very shallow areas (Mickey's ears) in the Mickey pool, where your little one may safely play. Those two areas are maybe 12 inches deep, so it's fairly safe--although you should definitely still be close by to lend a hand if needed.

Unless you plan on doing a LOT of swimming I don't think you'd need to bring a lifejacket with you. When we went to the kids pool there were so many kids I stayed in one of the Mickey ears with my 3 year old twins to make sure they wouldn't get trampled. On CC I always stood out in the water looking towards shore to make sure my kids didn't go out too far. I thought about bringing jackets, but they would have hardly been used and taken up a lot of space. I'm glad I didn't bother.
