Swim vest at Disney water parks?

Our 6 year old son is just learning to swim and is not a strong swimmer yet. We are thinking about getting him a swim vest. Will that suffice or is a life vest mandatory at Disney water parks if we want to ride the slides? I will be with him the entire time and knowing him, he will cling to me like a little monkey

We are looking at the Speedo Swim Vest, a swim aide, not a flotation device. Thanks for your advice!

I think at the water parks, you are not allowed to use personal floatation devices that you bring. I think you have to use Disney's free ones they provide. They are very comfortable for kids...nice soft foam similar to the Speedo Swim vest. Theycan be found all over the water parks.

They have swim vests at both the water parks and at the resort pools. We just used those for our kids.
