We are returning to Disney with our kids (9 and 12) over the MLK week, 1/18 - 1/24. Going with extended family this time, and adding in Universal and Kennedy space center along with some chill time. So, I have purchased 2 days with park hopper tix. Doing DHS/Epcot on MLK day (1/20) and Animal Kingdom/Magic Kingdom on day 2 (1/21). After looking at the crowd calendars for MLK day for DHS (10 out of 10), I'm starting to get nervous that we won't be able to do all of the SWGE stuff we want to do. Which is the main reason we are going really (and for HP at Universal).

Do you think we should just add on another park hopper day? I wish they would extend the mid-day magic tickets as I think that would be an awesome fix but of course, won't know that until January. Has anyone experienced the parks on MLK day? Crazy? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

MLK weekend is very busy. Follow crowd reports from Christmas and New year's and you'll have an idea. It won't be that bad but it is crowded

We are also there for MLK - 1/10-1/24, but planning on avoiding DHS and MK for those days - guessing the opening of Rise of the Resistance and MLK will make for a busy couple of days! Hoping EPCOT and AK will be quieter.
Have a great vacation!

MLK is busy - but think more spring break not Christmas. We are going that weekend for the same thing - Star Wars bound!

I was planning on Saturday as that is typically from experience a lower day (as people are just getting in that morning or leaving from their week vacation so it is usually slower) but looking at reservations open for Oga's, Savi's, Droid Depot - there is a lot more open for Sunday. So ???? We are planning a full day at HS plus an optional half day as we are going with FoP type lines for RotR in our planning (if we are wrong - and I hope we are - great!). I'm afraid it will be mid-December before we will really know what Galaxy's Edge will look like after RotR opens.

Good idea! I am thinking we will just add on another park hopper day to be safe to be used later in the week. That way, if we don't get to do all that we want then it's not a big deal.
