I'm wondering if anyone has done the "sweetheart dinner for 2" being offered as part of "What Will you Celebrate". My partner and I are going to Disneyland in March to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, and I would really like to do something special for us. This sounds interesting, but I am guessing there is a pretty hefty price for the pre-fix menu and toasting glasses you can keep. Does anyone know how much it costs? Also, it will be our first time at DL, which restaurant should I pick? Any info on this or any other things we can do at DL to make the trip magical would be awesome! Thanks

We are going for our 20th and I remember someone here saying they booked the dinner. I think they said it was somewhere around $150 or something. I remember thinking that was too much and it probably had food I didn't want anyway.

DH and I going to eat off the menu at the BB for our anniversary dinner. We haven't been in years, but the setting has always been my favorite. It is neat to sit "outside" and watch the boats go by! Napa Rose was recommended to us by the CM who did our APs at the bank.

Congratulations on your 10th Anniversary!! :)

Another vote for the Blue Bayou. The dinner sounds nice, I would look more into it, then decide whether or not, it is something for sure that you would like to do. I like to look at it in terms of $55.00 for each meal, and $40.00 for the toasting glass. That break down, sounds good to me. Now all that I need is the significant other, then I am all set. Ah, tis a pity to be turning into an old maid! ;) That is why I have cats. he he!

For table service, p.s.'s are highly recommended, please call Disney Dining at:1-714-781-3463

Non dining questions can be directed to Disney Guest Services : 1-714-781-7920.

Priority seating can be requested at the former number 60 days out. I recommend as well, requesting a waterside table. Trey chic! I love it.
Just make your request, when checking in at the podium at BB. Arrive at least 20 minutes prior to your p.s. so as to have a most excellent chance to receive your request. This request cannot be made over the phone.

I recommend the Tesoro Island Chicken. Very tasty! :)

For dessert, The Tortuga Trio of Creme Brulee. Simply Delish!

Have a blast at Disneyland!

p.s. your kitties sure are cute! :)

I know when I called just recently about th sweetheart package I was told the BB is 150 dollars, you get toasting flutes with cider in them, the apps were shrimp cocktail, or crabcake the CM said, I can't recall all 3 entree choices 1 was vegetarian. The dessert was an orange chocolate mousse to share. The CM said he is really surprised BB did not do a special prie frixe menu, and are just offering a few choice items from th reg dinner menu. I just booked reg dinner ps as I don't see why doing it at BB would be nice if everyone is able to order what you're having minus the mousse thing. They recommended Napa, it's 180 dollars, but you get glasses with 2 choices of wine 1 being the Fairytale, and the menu is on a much higher scale more of a sweethearts dinner. I did not check into steakhouse55 but they also are doing one.

I have the dinner booked for next Monday!!!

For us it's worth the cost, I don't have a problem spending the money even if it could be worked out cheaper by purchasing everything seperately. But then again I don't have a firm budget for my vacations we just go with it.

For us this is our 1st anniversary celebration so for me that's makes it worth every penny.

Also the breakdown that Giselle gave: $55 for dinner each plus $40 for the toasting glass is how I think of it. I should add we've never eaten at the Blue Bayou (which is where we are dining) and it will probably be a one time thing I don't like to waste a lot of time eating when I'm at DL.

Cost is not an issue for us for this trip as this is our 10 year in March and very special to us as this day and age many 20's range really struggle in marriage based on numerous friends/reports. I posted prices cause some asked, and even the Dining CM said they were dissappointed in what BB was offering for this specially booked dinner. They thought BB would offer unique things to the dinner which wasnt the case. We are going to be doing dinner there, but leaning more towards the sweetheart at Napa as they said it was much more customized for the event. I LOVE BB, but would have rather had the menu more selective for those who strictly booked the special dinner. Also I noticed the tortuga brulee mentioned. I know that is a seperate order since the orange choco mousse is the shared desert.

I have to say as much as I really like BB, Napa Rose would be my first choice for a big anniversary treat!

While I will give the atmosphere totally to BB, the food at Napa is wonderful! We just got back from doing the NYE event again this year and it was truely a treat. They really work to spoil you, with good quality food and good service.

I also have to add if I am doing dessert at BB I want the cookie boat :thumbsup2

Either way I am sure that they will make it feel extra special and I can't wait to hear the details from those who go!

I hate the BB food. Other than the atmosphere, the food is kinda blah when you compare it to other places.

Try for Napa Rose, then Steakhouse 55 (Formerly Granville's).

I would die if I spent $150 on a meal at the BB and I eat at Club 33 all the time.

I think I saw the items for the sweetheart dinner and it didn't sound like things I like. And I don't like wine. I live in the heart of wine country but don't like it. :confused3 I think for me it would end up being a waste. But still, you are making me think we should go to Napa Rosa for our anniversary dinner. I believe you when you say the food is better. But still, I do love sitting on the patio...

Guess I still have a few months before I have to make PS's. What to do, what to do? :scratchin

I'm the same way...DH and I do not drink so I guess we could just request cider, although the wine is hopefully part of the extra cost and I am sure that dinner would be AMAZING! I just dont know about spending almost 200 for just one dinner. :faint:

Yep, we are going for a week which is a splurge for us. I just can't think I would enjoy any meal $180 worth. :rotfl:

I believe I may have missed something somewhere. Which meal is $180.00?
The Sweetheart Dinner, I believe is $150.00.

I guess the price is different at different places. Maybe it has to do with wine being served. :confused3
