There will also be a new “Sweetheart Dinner for Two” experience offered exclusively at select Signature Dining locations during the dinner meal period. This will also be available to book beginning Friday, December 5th with the first fulfillment date being January 5, 2009. This offering can only be booked for parties of two.

The Sweetheart Dinner for Two will offer: 1 Appetizer per Guest, 1 Entrée per Guest, 1 Dessert for Two, 1 Glass of Magicale, Celebration Cuvee, or Sparkling Cider per Guest, and 1 Takeaway commemorative etched champagne flute and menu per Guest. Prices range $150.00 - $170.00, depending on the location.

Locations that will offer the “Sweetheart Dinner for Two” are: Artist Point, California Grill, Citricos, Flying Fish Café, Jiko – The Cooking Place, Narcoossee’s, The Hollywood Brown Derby (not offered at lunch), and Yachtsman Steakhouse

I wonder, if you already have a romantic dinner for 2 booked at one of these places, can you call and change it to The Sweetheart Dinner? Is is worth it?

Yes, you can. I changed our reg. reservation at the Yachtsman Steakhouse to the Sweetheart dinner the other day. You need a credit card to reserve it though and there is a 24hr cancelation policy.

Frankly, it doesn't sound worth it to me. If you look at the menu for California Grill and order the 2 most expensive appetizers, 2 most expensive entrees and the most expensive single dessert, the price comes to $132. For the Sweetheart Dinner, you have to pick from a prix fixe menu, so you may not even be getting those most-expensive items for your $150-$170.

If the commemorative flutes are anything like the ones they give out at Cinderella's Royal Table (usually for free), they are prom-catalog quality. And if the package doesn't include gratuity, you'll have to calculate that on the inflated package price, not the actual item prices...

Frankly, I'd rather create my own romantic dinner, say, by ordering a custom cake!

Thanks Lurkyloo - that is exactly what I was afraid of....I'm not big on entrees and TBH I LOVE my desserts so no matter how romantic it may be....hmmmm lol!! I have a Mad Hatter cake for DBFs actual birthday 2 days later at 1900 PF - that is a surprise too so I think we'll make CG nice and romantic in our own way!!

(PS - OT but way to go - followed your Wedding PJ and TR - loved the magazine shots!!)
