Sweet Tomatoes opening 4th May, update post #41

Great! I always thought they had the potential to open another branch in Orlando. We ate there in Beverly Hills aswell and it was as good as we remembered from Orlando :goodvibes

That will be lovely and easy to get to! We haven't tried it there yet but it will be on my list for this year! :)

I love Sweet Tomatoes. This one will be opening just a bit too late for us this trip but I will be paying it a visit next time we go.

Just looking on S.T and saw LBV location - took a double take and then came straight on here to let y'all know. Looks like S.T lover Wayne beat me to it :lmao:

It's too late for us...but maybe on a future trip ;)

Wayne I assume this is walkable from DTD?

Rob

Don't know exactly where it is going to be.
I have come across this which is very interesting, Tenant list dated Mar 2008for Crossroads, If this is correct they have been renting there for a year already. Strange its taken so long. Maybe this fell thru and they are now somewhere else, only found out a few hours ago, still trying to find out exact unit.
All of this area is walkable from DTD if you like a good walk. I would probably taxi one way but I am lazy and don't go anywhere without a car:goodvibes

Excellent news!!! Sweet Tomatoes is my DH's favourite place to eat lunch. We'll be at SSR for 2 weeks in July/Aug so it looke like he'll have plenty of opportunity.:cool1:

I have always promised that we will try Sweet Tomato, and it looks like we will now be able to walk it. Last year we walked to Orlando Ale House from Saratoga, I confess though we caught a taxi back !

I'm wondering which unit they're going to use - just trying to think which are vacant :confused3

If you look at the link I post and zoom in its opposite Pirates Golf,

So it is :thumbsup2 I can't remember anything being next to TGI's, is the unit newly built?

If it is that could explain why they have been on the lease plan since Mar 08, been waiting for it to be built but I have no idea.
What's on the menu, I presume it's vegetarian?

The one on I-Drive you enter and get a tray and a plate, go down the line of salad, it has every kind of salad item you can think of. get to end pay and get you beaker for drink, you can either have water free or soda/Iced tea/Apple juice/strawberry something?/ coffee + more all self serve.
get your table, at busy times they seat you. They then have a choice of about 7 homemade soups, all made from scratch, if Mushroom is on that is delicious(Monday night usually) Xmas they did a Turkey and stuffing, also delicious, various toppings for soup, next to soup is Baked potatoes and sweet potatoes. Far end is teh pasta station, always 3 different pastas made in front of you. Garlic bread and another, name slips me. Also corn bread Between the pasta and potatoes are desserts Fresh made choco muffins + others, in evening the also do a crumble/cobbler or similar, something like Cherry or apple. Ice cream machine with toppings, fruit.
I think that covers most of it. Xmas cost us $28 for 4 of us with coupons. Everything is made there fresh, sometimes have to wait for things coming out of oven its so fresh.
Now my mouth is watering I want to be there.:rotfl2:
Now I did all that just remembered they tell you on their site whats on the menu for that day:rotfl:

I've always wanted to eat at Sweet Tomatoes, as I love salad and veggie food, but DH isn't keen as he doesn't eat salad. Do you think it's suitable for a non-salad eating, meat-loving, little-bit-fussy eater?
