Sweet tea anyone?????

Well, we have sweet tea. Not sure it's the same as southern sweet tea, but that's what we call it. Iced tea with sugar in it pretty much. At Disneyland, I think you can get it at French Market. You can get iced tea at almost any restaurant though and my guess is that if you add enough sugar, it will be close. I have had real southern sweet tea, and I can guarantee that's not what you'll get though. Most people in CA like our tea unsweetened or Starbucks "sweet."

In the parks, not really. There is Gold Peak iced tea that comes sweetened and unsweetened. You can have it mixed to your preference. (I've done that at Flo's.) The Starbucks locations in the parks and at DtD will sweeten your iced tea with sugar syrup -- just tell them how many pumps you want. If you'll have a car, there is sweet tea at Chick-Fil-A locations. Otherwise, I find that ordering iced tea and a cup of hot water can work in the parks. Add as much sugar as you want to the hot water and stir to dissolve. Then use your simple syrup to sweeten your tea to your liking.

Oh honey, I'm from Tennessee and now live in Nevada. Southern-style sweet tea is found at few and far between restaurants, unfortunately. I will echo that you can still get it at McD's and Southern-themed restaurants, but that's about it for the West Coast.

I visited my friend a couple of years ago. She had moved to South Carolina the year before. We went to lunch and I ordered iced tea, and just about gagged when I took a sip!! My friend had a hearty laugh at my expense.

I think sweet tea is probably one of those things you either acquire a taste for or grow up with, because after a lifetime of unsweetened iced tea I could not fathom how anyone could drink it, LOL! I'm sure my girls would love it, though--they think frappaccinos are heavenly.

I guess I'm not really surprised. You can't find it anywhere in WDW except MK at Columbia Harbour House. There's is close.

Don't forget the fast food chain called Popeyes Chicken that advertises a sweet tea and they claim to be based from Louisiana. Never tried real sweet tea, but theirs tastes a little different from normal sweetened iced tea, so maybe that is more authentic.

I saw teas at subway, but I didn't have any and have never tried sweet tea so I don't know if it was anything near what you're hoping for.

McDonalds is right across the street and has surprisingly decent sweet tea sometimes (when you get a good batch.) I am not aware of anywhere in the parks that has good sweet tea. Would love to find somewhere though!

It's a constant battle on the west coast and in the north :sad1: I wish you luck in finding the delicious nectar that is true Southern sweet tea!
