Is there an over the counter remedy for sweating heavily - my dh sweats only under his arms really bad - he must wear dress shirts to work....years ago he got a prescription for some roll-on stuff that worked like a charm - but I was wondering if there's anything out there on the shelves now....(its been years since he's had to wear dress shirts for work - so he hasn't had to deal with it)

I read that botox in the armpits can help control excessive sweating.

Supposedly you can buy Drysol online without a prescroption from Canadian pharmacies (I just googled it). Other than that, have your DH use a really strong antiperspirant (like Mitchum) twice a day instead of once a day, on dry skin.

Thanks for the info! We've never tried Mitchum - I'll be getting that for him today! And see how it goes.

Not as strong as Drysol, but works for me are the newer ones on the shelf that say "Clinical Strength." There are ones from Gillette, Degree and Sure (the Sure one is newer and doesn't seem to be as widely available, but is cheaper for the same ingredient).

I used to use Drysol, and until these "clinical strength" versions came out, NOTHING else worked for me.

i know someone at work who had a brother with that problem. she said they ended up finding somethingat the natural vitamin type store. it was deoderant, but it looked like clear ice. i guess it has natural stuff in it, it is a stick also, its a roll on to.
