Swapping traders before a trip to Disney

I was lucky enough the other day to send a pin trade offer through PinPics and the recipient informed me that the pin I was requesting she already traded for. But she was actually leaving for Disney in a few days & the 2 pins I was inquiring about she was planning on using as traders. So she was nice enough to allow me to send her 2 of my traders for the 2 pins which she was planning on trading away. I was able to get 2 keepers out of it. This made me start thinking what a great idea it would be for those of us planning an upcoming trip to perhaps list which pins we are planning on trading away to CMs. That way, if any of us have some of those on our Wants list, we could swing a deal before the person’s trip. I hope this makes sense. What do you guys think of this idea? I don’t have any trips planned in the near future. But I thought I’d throw the idea out there & see what type of feedback I get. If we do decide to go ahead with this concept, I guess we’ll also have to come up with a spiffy name for the whole idea.

I would be interested in doing this. I ordered some pins for trading purposes recently. My sister bought half of them and then I gave my 8 year old DGS a couple that he liked and then he "traded" two of his for two of mine that he liked. I traded a couple of mine to my niece to get two that I knew my 3 year old DGD would like. I also gave my DSis as a gift a lanyard pin that she was lacking to complete a set. So, you can see that we do trading within our family!! I enjoy pin trading and would trade with someone to help them get what they would like and hopefully get what I would like also. We're going in December and can hardly wait!

I am not going until November, but I picked up a bunch of traders to take with me for the pin trading event and came home with a bunch that are going back to the parks for trading. I am pretty OCD and classify my pins as lanyards (those I am taking to the parks to trade) and these pins have a people trading/people wanting of -30. which means at least 30 more people are trading it than people want it. Bag 2 - any pin that has a -10 to -30. These traders go on my lanyard when I run out of lanyard pins. I have about 50 pins that fall into one of these categories and I am looking for about 5 - 10 pins that would fall into one of these categories. Plus I would trade 2 or 3 of these pins for a pin that I wanted and obviously for a holy grail, I would give up a holy grail. LOL
I am chaoscent on pinpics so check my trades to see if there is something you want. I traded about 30 pins on my lanyard list while I was at the parks for pins that people were looking for and I got pins in return that I didn't really want/need but at least I had some different pins to look at.

Rather than scroll through your 900+ traders, could you list your traders & wants here? It seems like what you mentioned above is much less. If not, at some point I guess I'll find time to go through them all.

I bought the 36 Disneyland Black & White map pins from Disneyshopping.com but my husband accidentially traded some of them away last week when we were at Disneyland luckily I realized it before he traded most of them. Anyway I am missing 8 of them and wanted the complete set. If you bought them to trade and don't want them I can send you other disneyshopping.com pins.
