Swapping Resorts with Free Dining plan

Ok, So this is probably not possible, but I thought I'd ask if anyone has had to do this. I booked my trip for Pop Century the day after the free dining offer came out. My parents, completely won over by the idea of free dining booked as well. Unfortunately Pop was booked by that time, so they settled on All Star Music. Does anyone think it would be possible for them to change to Pop just before we arrive? I'm thinking that a few parties would cancel their reservations freeing up a few rooms. It would be so much easier as I am travelling with 2 children and they will most definitely want to spend a few nights with them. Would this affect their ADR's? Any input would be wonderful!!!!

Just before? No, highly unlikely. Anybody who does cancel that close to the trip likely did not have a package, so there'd be nothing to move your parents to.

Look for posts by Canadian Guy (one of the Moderators on this board). He has a link in his signature to instructions on exactly how to attempt such a resort change. Check some of the 'sticky' threads at the top of this forum. It's likely he's got some posts in those.

It's possible with persistance! I'm traveling next month with my bff Mom2Evie and her beautiful DD - Mom2Evie is totally in charge of all things involving planning and she managed to move us from ASSports to Pop while keeping our free dining in place.

So long story short, yup - it's doable. It took several attempts, but she did it!

The question is...when are you traveling?

We managed to change from Sports to Pop and also kept our free dinning. We are going Sept 15 to the 22. We called 2 weeks ago and were told that 10- rooms were available at that time. Good luck.
