Swan vs Deluxe

We are having major withdrawals since returning from vacation!!! So, I need to plan for our next fix. We got the Swan at $125 per night and had an awesome view of TOT out our window. My daughter would love to stay at a WDW hotel. I'll only do a Deluxe because of the door to outside issue with mods and values. We liked the central location of the Epcot Hotels however spent most of our time at MK, BB, and TL. I actually don't think I could get my DD to go back to MGM. So....Convince me why I should choose a Deluxe and which is the best or why we should stay at the Swan. All opinions are welcomed

I would stick with the Swan.

1. Lower price
2. Better Beds
3. Comparable Service.

Sorry, but Disney wants $300 a night now for "deluxe" The ONLY thing "deluxe" is the interior corridors. Disney "deluxes" get three stars from independent rating agencies. IMHO they aren't worth the price point!

For an MK hotel you have three options

1. GF. (I stayed there once. That's a flagship? VERY VERY VERY overpriced if you compare it to other 3 star hotels in America)

2. Poly. The "interior" corridors are in "individual buildings" with open access. Thereby invalidating the "control" that you are suppose to get with an interior corridor. (NOTE: I don't think they are any safer, but it's a belief that seems widespread. I travel a lot. The only hotel I have ever had "security" issues at had interior corridors LOL!) It's basically a glorified "door to outdoor"

3. CR. This one has a location that can't be beat. You pay for it.

The Swan is a lovely property and you can't beat $125 a night for onsite. The WL is technically a MK resort, though not on the monorail it has boat access to the MK. It's a lovely property. We always book it, then wind up changing to another deluxe for some reason though. Our girls are 10 & 12 now so we find ourselves visiting EPCOT and MGM as much if not more than MK, so EPCOT works better for us now. Another disadvantage for Swan however is that you cannot do Dining Plan from there.
