Swan Reserve

I am getting nervous now, I was speaking to a receptionist at the Swan about my reservation and she said oh it will be open by Christmas but I would love to see it actually open soon!

Our dates are over New Year and am happy to be moved to Swan or Dolphin at existing rates but will anything comparable be available over New Year! :confused3
Makes me nervous because all other Deluxe is so expensive and booked up in Dec

The Swan Reserve was mentioned as opening soon on the Swan and Dolphin facebook page yesterday. Is it a hopeful sign!?

Not sure how hopeful a sign it is since it has been Opening Soon since March 2021, July 2021, August 2021, Sept. 1st 2021 and now maybe October 17 or November 1st.

The good news is they are getting closer every day to a true opening!

Any updates on the latest reservation dates getting moved? We still have a 11/4 start date for 5 days that hasn't been contacted yet, but I'm not very confident here

Staying at BCV, so we drive past daily. Still a lot of construction equipment around, landscaping definitely not completed. The concrete entrance way doesn’t seem done, and the sidewalk isn’t finished (we walked that way to play mini golf).
A lot of exterior painting happening, and people up on lifts working on the windows. Fences up everywhere.
This hotel is still basically a construction zone

Have a reservation for mid-November. Spoke with a manager about a few things and he mentioned they were opening this week (Thursday 10/28), but we shall see....take it with a grain of salt as I feel this continues to get pushed back. Really hoping it's open by the time my trip rolls around.

Marriott Bonvoy app now lists opening as November 2021. It said October 2021 a couple of days ago. Doesn’t look good for that 10/28 opening. I was told 10/28 over the phone also. I have a mid November reservation too.

I just called. The new opening date has been pushed back one week to 11/4.

I just called the number listed on Bonvoy for the Swan Reserve, and whoever I spoke to had no idea of the whole situation and barely understood that the hotel was not opening, because my reservation number was "active". She eventually "called over there" and said she was told they definitely aren't opening this month.
We are slated for 11/15-11/19. I am so worried...this lady told me "Uh you need to make new reservations yourself, I've never heard of them help you out"...
Is this true?
Will Disney/Marriott contact me before hand with some options to stay elsewhere?
Obviously I can't make any reservations on my own, as all of these resorts have strict cancellation policies and our november ones have not been fully cancelled yet...
I am on a 45+ minute hold with WDW reservations right now, and I am hoping to get some answers.

Please let us know what happens.
I was told that they would contact me for alternate room in either the Swan or Dolphin if the resort will not be open in time.

Disney rep said I booked through the hotel, not through Disney, so it will be "up to the Swan" on if they help us re-accommodate...so now I am on hold trying to get someone who knows what they are talking about with the hotel. Will update

Here is what I am being told:
If you reserved through the hotel (Marriott-Bonvoy), they will not guarantee help with re-accommodating. So if they do not have availability at the Swan/Dolphin, which is likely for November dates, you're SOL and it is on you to find somewhere else.
Now, they are indeed still saying The Reserve will open on the 4th, BUT
The "advice" was to be proactive and book somewhere with a free cancellation policy as a back-up.
What a crap situation.

I posted on the other board about this, but I just got told today that my SR reservation from 11/1 to 11/6 would not be honored. I had both a cash room and a points room connected, and I got an email this morning about the points room being cancelled, with a number to call. I called and the lady was very helpful getting me booked into a comparable suite at the Dolphin even though the Marriott website showed they were sold out for the Friday night. She also gave me a 10% discount on my original rate. We'll see if it works out on check in but I am cautiously optimistic and was pleased they didn't just say "too bad" as I have heard others say for earlier SR reservations that were cancelled. I am Marriott Platinum, which maybe helped?
