Swan L-Shaped Suite Upgrade

We stayed at the Swan last June and were upgraded from a regular club room to this awesome room for FREE. There's a long story of problems on our first night at the Swan. The night manager at 3am was fantastic and upgraded us for our entire stay - a week and a half.

Just wondering how you upgrade or what is the cost of the l-shaped suites at the Swan. Can you book these through the Westin site or via Dreams Unlimited, etc?? I'd love to stay in one of those rooms again but my fear is that it's major $$$$$.

We are getting this room at the govt. rate in July for $224/night. I imagine that price would also work for teacher and nurses rate, too. It is NOT on Club Level, which is fine with me. We do a grocery stop for our family's snack and breakfast food. I'm not sure about getting a free upgrade. I've never received one. We are Starwood members, but didn't have any points on our last trip and have only a few now.

From reading these boards it seems that upgrades are very random.
