I need to do a split stay at poly... so with the stay play deal I got 5 nights but my first night I had to have another reservation for room only. it was pricey. I have enough points to get a free night at swan and dolphin... never stayed there. my questions are
1) is there magical express to the swan and dolphin? if not how much would that run me?
2) how would I get my bags and stuff to the poly after that first night?
3) kids didn't want to do full stay at swan bc they think it isn't Disney enough?
thanks

1. No ME. You would need to take private transport. Probably around $40 from MCO.

2. They will transfer.

3. Don't let your kids call the shots where money is involved. They ain't paying and they are still at Disney. Swan is great and the location is.tops.

1. No. Price out a car service, or uber. S&D MIGHT have a "deal" with Mears. Ask the hotel, or review the info... they may have sent you something?
It might be advisable to rent a car one way and return it at the hotel's rental desk.

2. They'll transfer your bags for you, I'm pretty sure.

3. You'll have to be your own judge of that. I've heard both sides of this argument. Not sure if you'll be able to see all that S&D has to offer after a 1 night stay. I thought the hotel was an absolute blast. We had a lot of fun. The location is crazy if you like Epcot, Boardwalk, and dhs, and the food options were very decent. The hotel has some fantastic amenities, and a daily list of activities for kids. The pool complex is awesome, too.

1) You have multiple transportation options from the Mears shuttle (cheapest, but not most convenient), to cab/uber (about $50), to a private car (we use Park Ave. Limo and it's about $75 one way)
2) Swan will transfer your bags to Poly
3) The Swan is a gorgeous, incredibly comfortable resort with a great pool complex, some of the best restaurants at WDW and within walking distance to DHS and EP. It is not as "Disney-themed" as the WDW resorts, but we have done short stays there when we simply couldn't pass up the discount.
