Swan/Dolphin or moderate?

I would definitely go for the Swan. You should be able to get a great discount - probably about the same cost as a moderate. We stayed at the Swan with an AP rate of $161.00 over Thanksgiving. It was our first time there. We LOVED it. The location is wonderful and the resort has so many dining options, right at the hotels and within walking distance to the boardwalk...not to mention World Showcase. I would definitely choose it over any of the moderates if not for location alone. The rooms are a good size, the beds are fabulous, and the rooms are really more "up-to-date" than the Disney owned resorts. I hate to say that, but it's true. The TV alone is an improvement.

I would choose either the Swan or Dolphin any day over a moderate. You'll enjoy it. You made the right decision.

The S/D location can't be beat, IMO. I prefer it over the MK resorts (I know others disagree).

On the flip side however, I know I'm not the only one who thinks Coronado Springs borders on a deluxe. Beautiful grounds, an amazing pool, & great views of the lake. Until we stayed at AKL, CS was our fave (see below).

I totally agree! Look at my history...I stayed at CS 3 years in a row! Out of all the moderates CS is the best one by far but right now my heart belongs to the Swan.
