Swan & Dolphin Food & Wine Classic ticket question

We have gone to the Swolfin Food & Wine Classic the past several years; and absolutely love it. Typically, we put it at the end of our trip. This year we are considering going on arrival day to meet up with friends.

We are driving from Chicago, so I am concerned about buying tickets ahead of time and wasting the ticket if we don't get there in time on Friday. Does anyone know if they ever sell out ahead of time, or if we are safe just purchasing our causeway ticket the day we arrive?

Does anyone know if they ever sell out ahead of time

1) Yes, they can, and do, sell out.
2) No way to guess on which day this will happen.
3) But, Fri-Sat-Sun are favorite days for locals to attend WDW or Swan/Dolphin food and wine events
