Does anyone have an idea when the Swan and Dolphin will announce their 2005 discount rates(AP, AAA, Nurse/Military/Teacher)

They were released several days ago, but they aren't what they used to be.

edited because the hanging post I referred to isn't there now

Go to DU and play with your dates to see what's available. I can't tell you exactly what discounts are because there were none available for when I was looking.

The lowest rate that I have heard so far is like $171 a night. Very disappointing. ::MickeyMo

I put in several dates Jan. through Sept. For the first few days of Sept., it came up as $149 but I'm not going to chance going in the peak of hurrican season. Several days came up at $169 and $199. Oddly though, I seldom could find 5 nights in a row at $169.

We just booked and got 10 nights Club Level in Oct for $229.50 plus tax (AAA rate) from Swan's own ressie system on the website.

What was the regular rate for the days you booked the club level for?

You don't want to overpay for that club level. The offerings are not worth much money!

Rack rate is about $380 plus tax but about a week ago a promotional rate was $284 plus tax. DU have still not loaded discounts for this period. We stayed at the same time last year and paid $218 plus tax (AP rate) and I thought it was well worth it.

They didn't have anything for March 12th, the night before our Disney land/ sea starts.

I have Swan booked and booked WL as a backup in case rates don't come down at Swan. Got 1 night, 2 rooms at WL for $390.

Very disappointed in the Swan's lack of discounts.

The teacher rate in March turned out to be $169 + tax + $10 resort fee. No deal there. We cancelled.

I feel your pain, I was going to add a few nights on before transferring to BCV. Don't get me wrong I really love the Swan but I can't justify the cost ($279 a night with either AAA or AP on DU and SPG, Swan site) Oh well we always wanted to try WL and with the discounts Disney is offering for those rooms I think we'll try it. I wonder if they have alot of conventions booked or they think people will actually pay that rate. I think you will see them start to offer focused discounts like they have been (ie: Dis, AllEars and Travelzoo) when room inventory is high.

The rate for my week in August was 199.00 and 209.00. Much higher than we paid in the past for government rate. I guess we will be staying somewhere else.

I just checked. For our dates in June I got $279 per night. It came to $2100 for our trip. Guess we won't be trying out the S/D this year.

I just called for June and they do not have the discount rates yet, so I keep waiting. I love the Dolphin, but depending on the price I may to have to look into a different Disney hotel instead.
