I'm looking to stay at the Swan end of November - beginning of December. I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of when is a good time to call for AAA or Entertainment discounts. Historically, have there been discounts for that time of year? Thanks for any info...

There has been availability in the past. In early December 2003, the discounts (50% off rack) were available to book starting about 11 months prior and continuing to be available until a couple of months prior.

I started checking Nov/Dec 2005 about 4 or 5 months ago and there has been nothing except right around the holidays. Reservations says some may open up, but I've booked elsewhere.

Good luck! And, please post if you find a discount..

Are you speaking of this year, because if you are, just a heads up the swan/dolphin is booking a giant convention for that time frame which my dh is attending, they usually have it in Las Vegas but this year they expect up to 10,000 so they changed it to Disney. The registration on the website starts in august. You might want to call the S/D direct to find out about this. I dont know how many rooms they will put on hold etc. for the conference.

Are you saying that there are going to be 10,000 people at the convention? It is also Pop Warner at the same time I'm going. Dec.3-10 I'm taking my 74 year old mom for a quiet trip and staying at the BC. Maybe we should change to the next week. What do you think? BC and YC are showing no standard rooms for that time frame so I think they are booking conventions also. Thanks

My dh conference is like from the 28-Dec 1st. I know all day these people have classes so they wont be in the parks. I dont know what will happen at night. I cant really believe they will have that many people. It seems they like las vegas more for the nightlife etc. Maybe they will get more east coast people here. We cant register for this until aug, so I also want to ask this co, not where my dh works, just the sponser what they are planning for the night time activies, like in a park etc. I am laughing about the pop warner, with my 3 ds they would probably enjoy that gang etc. We were also at the swan during another convention and I really didnt even notice the people there except when they had break and lunch time, a few came out by the pool for some fresh air, that was it.

I have an AAA rate $303 for deluxe non-smkoing room with balcony and view of Crescent Lake and surrounding resort at the Dolphin.
June - July 2006 for 14 nights.

I am hoping for an A/P rate.
I was told there are 4 conventions going on at the end of June - so no A/P rates may be offered. They may even close the pool for a night/afternoon for a convention group. The Dolphin is sold out for the last week of June.

Thanks luvmarypoppins. My mom has only been to WDW in June and I wanted her to be there at a slower time. I think everything will work as I am a Disney veteran and know what I'm doing in the parks.
