Swan Discounts?

I've read as much info as I could find.

1. What would the chance of getting a decent discount (I'm a nurse), April 2007? Easter is April 8, and we would be going about April 15-21 2007.

2. What is this 50% Entertainment Book discount I've heard about?

3. How about best AAA discounts?


As one can see, I'm trying to cover all bases here. Showed DH this resort, and this is where he wants to be (course he hasn't seen the prices).


I've only been on Disboard for a few days, and have joined TGM, and am amking myself absolutely crazy about resort planning, and I have over one year to go..... PLEASE HELP!!!

Ya know you should be able to get a rate around $190.00-$200.00 for the swan at that time of year. I'm staying at the dolphin the first week in june and got a rate of $184.95, then received a free upgrade. All you have to do is be persistant and keep looking.

Hi CJRN, I would like to take a minute and start out by letting folks know how the discounts and pricing works for the Swan and Dolphin hotels.
As you are looking ahead at 2007, first off the rates will most likely not come out till July or August 2006. When the discount rates do come out unlike Disney hotels that might offer a discount as the year goes on, most of the Swan, Dolphin discounts rates for all the different categories are at the best to pick from at that time. As my post at the top of this board shows, dates the discounts are available start filling up and go away. It is always best to lock in a discount if you see it now rather than wait for the golden goose to get you a lower rate later. I can only speak for Dreams unlimited Travel but if you do happen to see a lower rate come along you just e-mail us and we will go and get that lower rate for you. We will apply that lower rate just as long as you qualify for that new discount rate.

Looking at April 2007 I must tell you that it is not looking good for any discounts for that month looking at past years history. Right now the only dates in April 2006 are April 6 amd April 27 and 28 for teacher, government workers and nurses.

We are going to the Swan April 11-18 and getting a nice govt. rate for our whole trip of $179. I think that is a bargain compared to the disney deluxes for our family of 5. I think that its great considering easter is covered for us too. I didnt think we could get a good rate this time of year but we did and even expedia shows lots of availability for the swan and dolphin for this easter. I am hoping this will work out for us next year too for easter. Good luck

Be sure to sign up for their newsletter. They send out room offers occasionally. They do get posted here also, but I got the email a couple of days before I saw it here.

Due to school schedules, an April trip is not going to work. Looks like we'll be able to take advantage of lower rates, as we'll be going mid-late August 2007.
