Has anyone ever rented one of the Swan paddle boats at the Swan resort? How much do they cost?

Yes, they are gone. How old were those boats anyway? Weren't they the ones that used to be over at Magic Kingdom many, many moons ago?

Prissymouse, Thanks for letting me know! Yes, please post a picture of what they have been replaced with. Thanks!:)

Sorry, to be missing you, Marryann. Sounds like you will be down there around the same time as Dan Murphy...Lucky you!:goodvibes And, no, I will not ask what BDay you will be celebrating!;)

This is my first attempt to post pics

They have 2 styles of boats...
One is round (a little "bumper boat") and the other is a "lounger"
Both boats run on a battery and have adjusable , moderate speed. (it's really pretty SLOW, but a lot of fun)
As you can see from the pics, we had the lounger.
I think the bumper boats had a water blaster attached....

Hope this helps :cool2:

Wow that looks like fun - can anyone rent these? or do you have to stay at the Swan/Dolphin. Bumper boats - who woulda thought? Can you remember how much per hour?

Thanks

I think anyone can, but I'm not sure. I just charged it to my room key.
It was reasonable, or I would remember...:rolleyes1

I'll be there in a few weeks and will check on the exact price for you :cool1:

You may be right as they seemed pretty worn out when rented one(the old Swan design) a few years ago at the S/D.

When we rented one I think we paid about $8-$10 for a 1/2 hr. That was about enough time as the lake isn't all that big and we had circled it several times.

You can only ride them around the lake on the west side of the S/D complex (since the walkway from through the S/D complex caps off that side of the lake, so a 1/2 hr really is plenty of time. You pick them up at the dock by the Dolphin close to the grotto pool.

As with any Disney watercraft, anyone can rent them. You don't have to be a guest of that resort.
