Looking to book Swan for Christmas '08 (stomach got queasy when I saw the room rates at Yacht and Beach for next holiday!). Swan shows two views with balcony -- resort view and BoardWalk view. Does anyone know if BoardWalk view includes a view of Epcot and IllumiNations? I also saw that you can reserve an Epcot view at Dolphin -- wondering if we should switch. We hate those loooooooooong walks down the corridor at Dolphin, which is why we're leaning toward Swan. But we do love those end-of-the-night views of Epcot and the fireworks!

I've never stayed at either resort, but trying to remember how each resort is situated, I would say the Swan doesn't really have much of a view of Epcot. Dolphin resort definately does. I always thought Dolphin's probably one of the best views on property. But with the Swan I think it might be a partial view at best.

We have had Boardwalk views at the Swan and they were really nice. Our papers have said lakeview and resort view, but it seems as though they have changed their classifications. If you do get a Boardwalk/ "Epcot" view, you can see Illuminations if you are up high enough. We have always been on at least the 5th floor with that view. Spaceship Earth has been clearly visable, and the Illuminations fireworks were visable, too. (We couldn't see the the barge in the water, though.) This year our papers say "Epcot view."
