I forgot ---- What is the one or two Benefits you do not get staying at this Hotel ??? Relating to Disney?

I know you can't get the dining plan, but I can't remember any others . I'm not sure if EMH is included in the Swan/Dolphin or not .

No charging to your room from the parks
No dining plan
No MYW tickets on your room key (they have to be separate)

Other than that, both are great resorts!!! (Especially the beds!! )

Yes, you are eligible for EMHs when staying at SwanDolphin! And, if you become a Starwood member, you could get a free upgrade upon your arrival (if available).

Go to the starwood site-it's their frequent stay program. We were upgraded to a suite on our very first stay at the Dolphin a few years ago.

Starwood Preferred Guest - you can sign up online - you earn points for your stays that can be redeemed for future stays. One website is www.spg.com but I'm not sure if you can sign up there, or if that's just for members once you sign up. Swan & Dolphin are Starwood-owned, not Disney-owned. DH travels weekly for work & when he stays at Sheraton or Westin they are also Starwood-owned, and I use his points for Swan & Dolphin! Another quick way to earn Starwood points is to sign up for their credit card. You get 10,000 points just for making your 1st purchase, and S/D are 10,000 points per night to stay free. Anyway, that used to be the offer, not sure if it's changed.

After staying at AS Sports, AS Music, CSR & AKL I'd choose to stay at Swan or Dolphin anyday, mostly for location. It works so well for us to be able to walk to Epcot, MGM/DHS and the Boardwalk. We don't miss the Disney theming inside the hotel at all. Both have numerous places to eat, and the pool area is spectacular.

We're SPG members and stayed last June at the Dolphin totally on points for 6 nights. We used the stay for 4 nights and get the 5th night free on points option. So in total it was 50,000 points. Also when we checked in, I just asked nicely if we could get a room with a view of Epcot and we were automatically upgraded with no problems at all. It was totally awesome!! I'm such a big fan of the SPG program.

Here was our view from our room with fireworks every night and all I did was ask. Our little kids loved it!

Wow that's a bad view for sure. I guess we've been lucky or you've been unlucky once. All 3 times we've been to the S/D we've had awesome views. In fact our first time there was at the Swan and we were upgraded to a Swan Studio for free. That absolutely rocked. We were on the Epcot side and could see the fireworks.

Here's the view from our second last trip at the Dolphin. We could see both the fireworks from Epcot and the lights from MGM. All I did was ask if I could have a view of the Epcot fireworks that time.
