Swan and Dolphin booked in early January?

I am so surprised that both the Swan and Dolphin are booked for early January! I have tried various dates from January 4th through the 15th, and they are booked!? I have called, and tried online. Is this accurate or do rooms open up as the time gets closer? I know there may be a convention and the marathon is January 11th, but this just doesn't seem right to me. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I would guess that there is a convention (even two), and many of the convention groups book large blocks of rooms. When they don't fill up, the hotel will release those rooms so keep trying. You may even want to go through the Dreams Unlimited Travel Agency. We booked our rooms at the Swan through them this summer. They are at dreamsunlimitedtravel.com, but I don't know if they are booking 2005 yet. They may be able to tell you when the convention rooms would be released.

I tried to book a room for February 12th and was told both the Swan and Dolphin are complete booked. It does seem a little odd to me.

Keep in mind that they are both big convention hotels. Less convention activity in the summer months.

I booked two rooms for March through dreams unlimited and had no problem. Just waiting now for some discounts
