Swan 8333 free nights?

In the past it has taken 10,000 points for a free night, but I noticed under our June dates for Swan there is a reservation option for "SPG Free Nights 8333". Is this true (it sounds too good to be true) that we can get a free night for 8333 points? I do plan on calling but am wondering if anyone has booked this way.

My other question is: we have booked with a AAA rate and have enough points to cover 2-3 nights so I am wondering if we have to make 2 different reservations, one for the SPG Free Nights and another at the AAA rate.

SPG offers the fifth night free so the points you see is equating the free night in. You probably were quoted six nights which would be 50,000 (divided by 6 is 8,333). Any stays less than 5 nights would be 10,000 each.

Yes, you would have to book separate reservations for free nights and AAA - but ask to link the reservations so hopefully you can stay in the same room.

Also, you may want to call about "cash and points". It's not available for all dates, but I think the current rate is 5000 points plus $75 per night?
