We stayed at the Swan because of husband's conference at the Dolphin. I had heard of mold problems so I was a little worried. I faxed the hotel 4 days ahead of time and requested a mold-free room. When we checked in they said that was taken into consideration. There was a slightly musty smell when you first walk in, but it wasn't noticeable after a while. No visible mold anywhere. I was pleasantly surprised when we had a balcony. Yes it was small and the view was of the Dolphin hotel, but I didn't expect it because I paid for a standard room.
The elevators always seemed to know when you were coming down the hall, because most of the time the elevator door was open when you got there. And if not, the wait was very short.
Had breakfast twice at the Garden Grove and the buffet was good.
Other mornings we either had danish or muffin at the bar in the lobby or walked to the Boardwalk Bakery which was very good.
Palio restaurant was excellent.
Went to the Mandara Spa for a hot stone massage. Not cheap, but was very relaxing.
There is a laundromat at the Dolphin. If you have allergies and use an unscented detergent, you should bring your own, because they only sell regular Cheer and Tide.
The Heavenly Beds were nice, but if you're used to a firm mattress they might bother you after a few nights. When you get in bed and have that white comforter over you, you feel like you're sinking in a cloud.
Overall, a very nice hotel.
