I got mine at 5:00 am Eastern time. I wonder when it went live...
Even though I am not looking for flights until October, I am so disappointed with Southwest. I checked flights in May and there are NO non-stops to Orlando from ANY airport in Michigan! No non-stop from GRR, FNT or DTW...I will have to drive to Chicago to get a non-stop flight now. This sucks! I hope it changes in the fall. I don't get it...Michiganders travel en masse to Orlando...why no non-stop options?? Only Delta out of Detroit offers a non-stop flight to Orlando now and it isn't cheap.
I looked at flights on Delta, United and American for our dates (Oct 15-20) and I about had a stroke! The prices are in the $350-$700 range! No non-stop options available unless I drive the 3 hours to Detroit. Oh, and these are for flights that land around midnight and depart to come home around 7am...that's NOT happening.
Ugghhh! I can deal with a stop (maybe two...) since this trip is just me and my friend, but I don't want to spend more than $300 on my tickets. Southwest better come through and these fall fares better come down. I would hate to have to cancel my trip simply because the airfare is outrageous.
Yes! Use the "Change Flight" option. It will walk you through changing your flight. It will refund the points and re-apply the security fee that you applied to the original flight to the new flight. Very easy.Nonstop MKE to MCO is coming up at 9695 points each way for our dates in May. That's quite a bit higher than what we ended up using around the same time last year.
If I book now using points and the price goes down, will the additional points be refunded to my account? I've never done a re-booking on points before.
We used to fly out of Detroit (on AirTran) but we would get a hotel the night before our flight and book the "Park n Fly" rate which was only $10 more for the room and it included parking for up to 10 days. Even when I added the $120 for the hotel night and parking, I could still save over $300 (family of 4) and fly non-stop by going to Detroit.I know how you feel. Driving over an hour to DTW and paraking there is too much money and hassle. I add an additional $32 per ticket on a rebooked flight out of flint. Flint airport is only 17 miles from me, so that made it some what better. Still I didn't get a non-stop but the layover time is not bad. Good luck.

Didn't book with points for this past September but it gave me trouble trying to change flights online all the time. I had to call in and the agent was able to help me.Has anyone else tried to change a flight booked with points after the new release date .....my 5/21 and 5/26 flights each went down 500 points, But it's not letting me make the change online....if I had not purchased EBCI I would just cancel and rebook.
Thanks..I've had to call when I had my husband booked with a companion ticket....but I purposely held off adding him since I was pretty sure the points would go down and figured it's easier to change online.......I did call this morning and they couldn't locate the reservation even though I see it in my rr account, didn't have time to wait on hold so I'll try back laterDidn't book with points for this past September but it gave me trouble trying to change flights online all the time.
