Does anyone know when SW will release the dates for the week after Easter Sunday?

TIA for any help. :)

Next set of dates released will be Oct 27, that will include Easter.

There is a section on the bottom of SW's home page called Flying Southwest and under that you'll see, Flight Schedules; that's where they put the information about when they should release new dates.

Does anyone know if they release the schedules at a certain time? Or is it totally random?

I have been anxiously awaiting this date as well and found out just now that the date has been changed to Nov. 10th!!!!:mad::mad:

Not a happy camper...... I know they say the date is subject to change but I always hope it's SOONER!

Ugh......

(oh, and it currently goes through April 6th; after the next release it'll be through June 5th. Supposedly. :headache: )

Thanks for the heads up! I'm sorry that it upsets your plans but it actually helps me since our travel dates are not yet firm but will be by Nov 10th.

Where can one find the announcement about release dates on the new website? I know on the old one it was under travel tools, but I just can't find it on the new website.

They have finally put it in a logical place! It's on the Flight Schedules page. You can find a link to that page at the bottom of their home page or you can click on the "Plan a Trip" link on the top of the page and then on the "Flight Schedules" link under the "Flight" column over on the left.

Thanks for posting this! I guess I'll save my money for a couple more weeks!

I'm really not sure what they're thinking..... the week after Easter is currently unavailable to book and they are also the ONLY airline not booking that right now!! I'm not traveling until later April or early May, but my entire trip hinges on what sort of deal I can get with flights, so I'm now at a standstill!! Ugh, so frustrating. :(

My guess is they are still working on the AirTran integration, there were schedule changes that came out after the release last time that messed up some people's trips (one mentioned was Flint MI).

I can't believe they pushed the release date back...

I've been waiting and waiting to book our May 25th-June 3rd trip now this. :furious:

I don't think the consolidation with AirTran is going quite as well as they would like us to believe. Expect the end of the year to be a total disaster on Southwest. Keep that in mind while booking

In addition to converting the Air Tran planes, now they are repainting the entire fleet.

Oh yeah, forgot all about that.....! Rats....

I feel your pain!! I booked our May trip in August, so my long, extended "wait time" was broken up by scattered dates here and there. The first "big one" was going to be booking flights on Oct. 27th!! Now, we have to wait yet again. ::sigh::

I'm surprisingly ok with the release date being pushed back. On one hand I need to get tickets booked so I can finalize hotel arrangements for a non-Disney trip, since the second half of the trip will be spent about 3 hours from the airport, so I have to see what flight times are to determine how long we're staying. On the other hand, I'm not complaining about the fact that another month's worth of credit card points will be deposited into my account before tickets go on sale. This might make it so I have enough RR points to cover the entire round trip.

Not to hijack, but we're flying Southwest the week before Thanksgiving. Are you saying we should expect potential issues with them due to these things? or is the impact more on future bookings?

Can I ask what happened with the schedule changes out of Flint??? We have half of our flight booked for April 5 from FNT to MCO and we need to buy the flight home for April 10 (waiting anxiously on those!!!!)

Your comment has me a bit worried :-0

We flew out of Flint last April and it was a breeze so that was our original plan for next year's family trip.

The time of the only nonstop of the day was changed. I don't remember the specifics but the new time I think was in the evening, thereby messing up the arrival day plans.
