Sorry if this has been asked a million times....

We will be staying at AKL in Sept and flying SWA home for the 1st time since they became a participating airline. Should we still buy EBCI? I normally do but does that interfere with being checked in at the resort? I don't mind reprinting our BP at MCO if we had to but we'd love to check our bags before leaving AKL.

Thanks!! :goodvibes

I don't see why you would have a problem. EBCI will check you in at 36 hours. When you do the RAC they will print your boarding pass with your boarding position and check you bags.

The PP is correct. We have used RAC and EBCI in combination many times without any problems and multiple resorts.

Basically, what will happen is this...at the 36 hr mark, SW will check you in if you paid for EBCI (be sure to do it for everyone in the group!). Then, when you go down to the RAC counter, they will see that you are already checked in, print your baggage tags and your boarding passes, hand them to you, tag the bags and you're good to go. It's the same thing as if you checked yourself in, but didn't have a printer to print the boarding passes...they would print them at the airport.

Thanks everyone! For some reason, I recalled reading about it being an issue if one checked in before RAC checks you in. I don't know. Chalk it up to another pre-senior moment. :lmao:

I had this exact same question a couple weeks back, just change AKL for POFQ!

I was assured EBCI works with RAC. We have an early evening flight on the way out and it will be nice to wave goodbye to our luggage at check out in the morning and not see it again until we reach Sacramento.
