SWA PVD to MCO: Historic December Fares--What did you pay 2004?

Thinking of heading to Disney December 2005...possibly 12/15 - 12/22. Just curious how the fares were on SWA from Providence to MCO this last December. In October 2004, we were lucky enough to get $49/ea way....which spoiled us as we always thought $160-$180/rt to MCO was a great deal. Call me cheap...but with a family of five, I hoping for $49/ea way again!! Are my hopes realistic??

Would any of you be kind enough to post some of your fares?

I hope so, but think that those prices may be long gone.

Last year, DW and DD flew down to meet us and DS, DD and myself drove down. I was unable to do any better than 69.00 each way. Lately DING is offering 68.00 flights out of PVD, with the best DING of 60.00. In actualliy the last internet special was around 55.00. I was able to lower my DING fare and have another 10.00 credit.

With fuel prices going up and up, I think that 69.00 may be the next great deal in Dec.

We've never flown around the holidays and I was concerned the airfare may be untouchable...I was happy to hear of your $69 fare. I think originally our October fares were $79 then dropped to $69 and then dropped again to $49. SWA gave us the $30/pp credit for each leg of the trip which is essentially covering our April vacation fllight!!

We flew PVD to MCO earlier in the month (Dec 3-6 2004) and got 59 each way, nonstop, good flight times. Good luck!

We flew Dec 10 for $59 pp each way. I agree with cranbiz, I have a feeling those fares are long gone. I got $79 pp each way for our trip at the end of June and consider myself lucky considering that the same dates now are running 3X as much...

We did PVD-MCO in Dec. for $115.00 RT.

SWA this May is the same.

I will also be headed down this December 6th-11th and I am wondering what time last year did SWA open up for December. I am also hoping for $49 fares.
