SWA pricing

Saw a better price today for the return leg of our January trip. Can I rebook at the lower price? Do they credit my cc? Do I do it online or by phone? Never changed a flight before just for a lower price.

You change it on line and you will get a credit to use within the year.

Thanks, I just got off the phone. Saved $66 each on the return trip. Have to use the credit by Aug. 14, 2012. I guess thats the date of the original booking.

Question, can I use the credits before Aug. 14 for a flight in September 2012?
Or do I have to book and fly before Aug. 14? And I guess they're not transferrable, right?

Yes your flight has to happen before Aug. 14th

Unless they have changed something in the last year or so you are able to "transfer" the credits.

I have sold the credits in the past to friends.

They did change it. The credit can only be used for the person the first flight was booked for.

I learned that the hard way. Booked for my son who did not join us then tried to use that credit for my flight.

Really? Well that just sucks!! Guess I won't bother tracking my flight then.

You can call after the flight credits expire (You must call) and ask that they are extended. There is a fee for the extension (I forget what it was - Maybe $50), but it is worth it if your credit is large enough.
