SWA Online check in

I am debating finding a computer at midnight before a 6 am flight in an out of town city. I do know people in the city so it would be very inconvient but, not impossible. Has anyone checked in this way and was there problems? The sales rep. gave me the impression that this was the only way to get "A" boarding passes was to print them at 12:01 am the morning of the flight. That by the time they open them up in the morning the "A" passes are gone. I am traveling with young children for the first time after 9/11 and they are anxious about it. I can't imagine them all being separated.

Please help me with recent experiences we are traveling out of a busy airport but, not huge.... Portland Oregon

We used the buisness office at the Grand Californian at DL last week to print return boarding passes for SW. Our flight was at 2:05 PM out of Orange County Airport and we printed A boarding passes at about 9 AM.

That is not true. A passes are divided between skycap, counter, gate and online.
How young are your children? If you have one 4 and younger you will be able to preboard. If that is not the case, get to the airport early.

Well I was up one time at 12:01 so I went to check in on line and it was NOT working. I have seen other reports of the same thing. It would be pretty bad to disturb your sleep and the sleep of your friends and then not be able to check in.

Also, when I am at the airport I am not seeing many of these printed boarding passes from home. Most travelers still get their boarding passes the old fashioned way.
