SWA ON line check in - print later?

Wondering if anyone knows if I can do this. I'm planning to do on line check in at just after midnight. But for some reason I cannot print from the internet to my computer (and I haven't been able to figure it out yet!) I know you can do the on line check and get Boarding passes at the airport, BUt I was wondering if I could do on line check in, and than later in the monring, when I'm at work and can print, whether I could then go in and print my baording passes.
Any experience with this?

On-line check in was developed to prevent people from waiting in lines at the Ticket Counter in order to get a boarding pass. It has been a very popular and success program since TSA has decided that it is not the identitiy of the person that is an issue with air travel, but what they carry on board and check in to be placed in the cargo bins.

With that in mind, yes you could check yourself in (provided it is within the alotted time window SWA allows for web check in) and then print your boarding pass out later like at work.

But what I would try to avoid doing, if at all possible, is complete the web check in and then go to the ticket counter to obtain your boarding pass. It defeats the whole purpose. And sometimes the ticket agents do not realize, until after they perform a couple of searches, that you had checked in via the web.

Other than that, I think you would be able to print out your boarding passes later, and then proceed directly to the gate upon arrival at the airport (unless you have baggage to check). You will absolutely need to have boarding passes to proceed to the gate.

We have to go to the ticket counter anyway, to check in our luggage. Coming home from Dis we won't have a printer, just the computer. So would we still go to the Kiosk to get a duplicate boarding pass (of course we won't have the original), or just go to the desk, and they will give us a duplicate. We hope to get A's for the nine of us, by checking in the night before. By the way, is that 12:01 time, whatever time zone we are in? We are ET. Thanks

It is 12:01 am in whatever time zone you depart from.

You can hit print even if your computer will not print from the internet.
You can then pick it up at the counter, kiosk or sky cap.

I had a situation once where I thought my computer had printed it but, it really printed only portions of boarding pass. I just explained at the ticket counter and they re-issued it to me.

Thanks for all the replys. I probably will plan to print at work even though we are checking luggage. We'll just let the skycap know that I already checked in. DH usually drops us and the luggage off and then goes to park the car. This will allow him to have a boarding pass.

Check with the hotel where you are staying. I've checked in and printed boarding passes at Vero Beach and the Boardwalk.

Debbie - did you have to go to the business center or will/can they help you at the front desk of the Boardwalk?

I can check in on line, but not print out my boarding pass and still get an A Boarding Pass? Then when I check in at the luggage counter to check my luggage, they will print my A boarding pass?

Has anyone actually done this? Planning on doing this if it is possible for my December trip.

Dolphin has a 24 hour, self service business center.

Doris, I don't think you can reprint your boarding pass at the Kiosh but the skycap and ticket counter can. According to flyertalk one of the SW cities, I think Houston, actually cancels you original BP and you may wind up with a higher letter. AFAIK every other location just reprints your BP for you.

Captain--SW allows you to print a security document that will allow you to go through security 6:00a one day prior to departure. Someone with no luggage and who had access to a printer the day before but not at midnight could print the security document to get through security, get the BP at midnight and then just have the employee at the gate reprint the BP.
