SWA on Airlines show

ROFLMBO! I know exactly what you mean. We did the same thing. We would sit down and just wait, holding our breath, until the cabin door was shut and then we would start to relax. It wasn't until the aircraft pulled away from the jetway would we really know we were all clear! :)

Me too! The look of terror on my face if/when a gate agent came walking down the aircraft asle..... :scared: :rolleyes1
Didn't you just think if you ducked down they wouldn't notice you?? :D

The best part of the whole thing was you were supposed to be very low key and no one was supposed to know you were non-revving. What made it even funnier was, at least in the late 70s and early 80s in my experience, the airline wanted you to wear a suit and tie, even if you were teenaged, especially if you hoped to be bumped up to first class. Even in the glory days of air travel before it was deregulated you rarely saw kids in suits flying so when you did see one you know they were travelling on a pass. LOL!

Love SWA! If they have a flight path to where I am going, they are always my first choice. I hate when I have to fly on another airline.

I don't know if its a coincidence or not, but every single SWA employee we have met, from the pilot to the flight attendants to the ticket people, have been so funny! Its like a dry sort of humor that we have encountered, which I imagine you would have to adapt to being in that industry with customers raging and moaning constantly. The last time we were in Orlando our flight home was delayed and these people had us dying of laughter! Particularly the ticket guy, he was an absolute hoot.

I love flying SW. For us getting a boarding passes is not an issue since we get to airport early anyway. Only thing I dislike is having to leave Orlando at crack of dawn, but hey I can still work that night than. LOL
