SWA experts... need your help!

I have a situation.... we're to go to the WORLD on the 29th of Sept... but DSIS just got a letter from school that she is now waitlisted for nursing for Sept and she is no. 6 in the list... so there's a probability of her getting in the nursing program if the 5 before her decides not to go through it.. but if they do... then she will have to wait till next Sept 08... and so.. the vacation for Sept 07 will be move un August 07...... my question is... SWA have the $49 one way from PHL in Sept. BUT if she goes to school.. can I change dates with SWA foer AUG ? I dont have to keep the same rate I just dont want to loose the $$$

When you cancel a reservation with Southwest (assuming you didn't buy an expensive refundable fare) then all of your money becomes a travel credit towards new travel. So you could cancel today and everything you paid is now a credit. Your original confirmation number becomes your "credit" confirmation number. Then you book new dates and use that credit towards that purchase. Anything left over remains a credit for a year, or if the new fares are higher than you just pay the difference.

whew!!! OK that sounds good to me then!!! since we have been flying SWA everywhere .. credit is good! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Now I can go ahead grab this fare!!

Southwest is I think the ONLY airline that allows you to change flights without penalty. All other airlines would charge you like $100 per ticket to change. This is why I love SWA
