SWA 72-Hour Anniversary Sale

We always drive but I could not turn down $39 from Panama City, Fl to MCO. Great Deal!:thumbsup2

How do you get the credit if your tickets are now lower? And if you used a $25 promo code, will it still apply?

that discount seemed to disappear whe we tried to change air reservation

the 25$ off seemed to work out to 33% discount on 39 $ fares

@pooch-
I agree!! Darn no deals for us!!!I thought I was missing a step when looking at the fares from Bradley to orlando, but sadly I was not!!

There is nothing special about the fares from Bradley, the lowest price I have seen is $119, that price has not changed at all! Guess if we make the trek to Disney this year, we will be driving!

I was finally able to book flights for our September trip to DL. RNO to SNA was coming up at $109 per person each way. I had 1 free RR ticket along with an $86 credit due to expire in October and the $25 promo code. By switching to LAX, I was able to purchase our airfare for 3 for $110 total out of pocket.

That's because it goes by distance

0-450 miles = $39
450-1000 miles = $79
1001 + miles = $119

Bradley is over 1001 miles away

Our flights went down from $148 each way to ....drumroll please.....$79 each way.

Now multiply that times eight, and you get the HAPPY FERRET DANCE :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

We just got something close to $600 on credit. Mom told me she's going to "buy" them off of me, which means I've got this month's electricity bill and the flood insurance for the year paid off :)

WOOHOO!!!!!!!

but I would hope their birthday sale would give everybody at least a little something. I don't care about paying the baggage fees now. SWA clearly doesn't want my business.

What is the $25 code everyone is talking about? Could someone please share? Might be the difference b/w going with my old tried and true SW and trying AT for the first time.

Thanks!

I can't speak for the code, but to get the credit you go to the change an air reservation menu and follow the prompts. You will get a credit to be used with SW within 1 year of your original purchase date.

But.. my fares went up to 159.00 when the sale started. They were 119.00 the night before. I would LOVE 119.00 right now.:thumbsup2

Southwest is having a sale...$39/$79/$119 until Thursday. I just rebooked and saved for October.

You're very lucky then...the fares for early Octobber from MHT to MCO have stayed at $154 each way since the Oct. fares opened up...except their two evening flights down changed to $119 but all the others stayed at $154-$295...I fly SW quite a bit and have not seen them stay this high for this long before......I'm hoping for $119 now for the morning flights!!!!

Glad to see people are saving! I started the thread and wanted to chime in on more savings...I'm so happy. I know this is transportation, but I was able to rebook and upgrade resorts and save. I had a 40% pin for mods, booked POR; canceled and rebooked WL Woods view for the same price through Orbitz (they're having a 40% off sale, so it's like a 65% discount off of rack; it's actually costing an additional $1.12). I know it's not really a monetary savings, but it's one amazing upgrade for my DS who has always wanted to stay at WL.

Now that more cash to spend on food!

We're going Sept. 4th - 12th. SW's sale doesn't apply to Labor Day holiday week.

Airfare for our week PHX-MCO on SW is $356...Ouch!
If we extend 1 day SW is $311...still no bargain.

Currently other airlines are about $280 but charge $25 baggage each way. Should be able to only use 1 bag plus 2 carry on for 2 people.

I know! The Orbitz deals are insane!! With this Southwest sale and the Orbitz rates, we just booked a trip for September that we so weren't planning on taking! We got roundtrip non stop tickets for three from Chicago, three nights at Carribbean Beach Resort and 2 nights at the Contemporary, Theme Park View  (my husband's DREAM resort) for under $1000 total !!! We are thrilled!!! Now we just hope they honor the rates..otherwise, we may do free dining or whatnot..

Congrats to all who are getting great deals! Our flights from Philly for Christmas went up $20.

Thanks for the heads up, we keep checking!:thumbsup2

just 1 bag for a week for the 2 of us with 2 carry-ons. We aren't clothes horses and don't change multiple times per day. One big as allowed checked bag is plenty of room. BTW DBr and I are going the same week and are bummed we can't even use the $25 code on SW. Unless something really big happens, we're booking Delta this time

No deals for us, and we have three trips booked at this time. I keep checking, but nothing seems to move.

Me too! My flights from Philly to Orlando went down $10 per flight so I just got a $60 credit.:cool1: I was happy when I booked on the first day for $89, but now I'm even happier for $79 since I didn't think that would happen.
