SWA $39-$99....$49. one way MHT to MCO

:( the good prices end the day before i leave
i fly 10/1 they end 9/30 any chance this will get extended??

:( But we wanna leave on Nov. 4th and the schedule STILL only goes to Oct. 29th!!! C'mon SWA...open up that schedule!!!!!!!!

I have our flights booked for $79/each way & now today the price on the internet for the same flights are $49-$69. I called Southwest & tried to get the lower rate but the guy I talked to said I already had the lowest rate even though I was looking at a lower rate on the screen right in front of me! He insisted there were no $49-$69 flights to Orlando  Should I try calling again & talking to someone else? Anyone have any suggestions? If I can get the lower rate I can save $125 total

When that happened to me, I opened two windows on my browser. In one, I got all the way to cancelling my old flights without actually hitting the button, and in the other got all the way to booking my new flights without actually buying them. I then cancelled the one and then bought the others and applied my funds from the first to the second. You will end up having a credit left for a future flight.

I am so excited !!!!!! I had Dh on the fence about going in late Sept. into Oct.Last night the flight we wanted was $700. This morning I got the same flight for $540.So after a quick call to DH at work WE'RE GOING !!!!!!!

gotta love SWA ::MickeyMo

Same thing happened to me. The reason he is saying this is because it's an internet special. Here's what I did.
1. Had them cancel the original reservation and then I had ticketless travel funds.

2. Book a new ressie online with the internet special and applied ticketless travel funds, therefore I have a credit.

3. I will use them for a future trip, but I could request a refund in writing.

Good luck. Hurry before the rates are gone!!

These fares are INTERNET ONLY fares, that is usually the only way you can get them.
Cancel the present ones, once you have made sure the cheap ones are available for your dates, and rebook.
I did that this am for 5 reservations, took about 20 mins. total.

You can do that yourself right online. It is much easier and faster, IMHO, than involving a human being.

Thanks everyone! I was able to cancel & rebook the exact same flights online and save $125 on my flights (which were already a great deal to begin with!) I ended up paying $405 for three roundtrips! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

You don't know how tempting it is to book a weekend getaway in Florida in September! I don't care if we hang out at a hotel by the airport and do nothing!! I think DH and I are going to have a long discussion about this tonight! It's just too long until our next vacation!!!

I just changed my ressies from the $79 to $49. Southwest told me to go to their site, click on travel center, then click on change and you can change your ressies right there and they credit you the remainder for future flight purchases. It worked for me and you still keep the same reservation number.

REALLY???? Oh, too cool, I did it the old fashioned way, cancelling and rebooking. Well, you learn something new every day, thank you for the info. :)

I can't believe you didn't know that LOL. That's been there since the last good sale : )

I booked us first week in September. We need another flight to get more free tickets : )

I got the "fly 'tween may and sept" awards in todays mail, and it verified the rewards..says we get to keep them too! Also said thanks for flying..and welcome back. Didn't know I had gone anywhere..I had flown with them 3 other times this year!

No, I sure didn't. I really took it literally as in change flights. Never even entered into this brain that a change in fares is also a change.
Oh well, live and learn. LOL.
It only took about 20 mins. to do the five cancels and rebooks, thank goodness for the prefilled info part. :)

You didn't get the non stops? Bummer. When are your dates?
300.00 credit is excellent!!! Good for you.

OP, my wallet thanks you!

So, because of the cheap airfare, a friend and i (another Dis'er) are going to make a quick trip down in September for the pin event! I'm not sure that i would have gone on my own, but with another person to share the room with and possibly a car, it's definately doable.

Our airfare came to $116 each from BWI.. i haven't gotten airfare this cheap in years. I am hoping they will do the same for october and november!

Thanks!!!
