Does anyone know what the price is of Southwest's Youth Fare? I just noticed that they offer a youth fare for children 2-18. I am hoping it is a deep discount ;)

It's actually about 1/2 price for the full price ticket. It's rarely worth it to use the youth fare since the regular discounted fares are usually better.
For example, a full price ticket is about $180. The youth fare would be about $90 but SWA's discounted fare, available to everyone, is $59.
You do not have to buy a "Youth/Infant fare" for children, you can buy a regular discounted rate for them.

Also some airlines make you think you are getting a kids ticket, but they just jack up the price of yours and it evens out in the end. You all still paid the same. Happens all the time...

Yes, that's my experience too. We've flown Song several times recently and their youth fare is a discount off of the discounted adult fare (at least it has been twice for us now), so it usually turns out better for us on Song.

Good Luck!
