We're traveling May 27th through June 8th, so I could only book the flight to MCO from Kansas City. I was able to get $136 pp one-way for a non-stop AM flight. I would have preferred $99, but I'm happy it wasn't $200! I figure I will probably end up paying $300 r/t when the rest of the June schedule comes out (crossing my fingers).

Good luck to everyone!

I'm glad I set my alarm...although I thought I was crazy, since they didn't use to open up this early (but I read on here they did the last time!). I was able to have my choice using award coupons for May!

Got our flights down, Providence to FLL, $69 one way!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: Cruise out of Miami first, then Disney. Flights home were $118 out of MCO, gonna hold off on that for now.

We're flying the same route, but May 26 and June 5. I didn't buy at $136, but maybe I should have. I was hoping for under $100.

In the most recent schedule release, I didn't find ANY cheap flights during spring break for the MCI to MCI route. So, I am trigger-happy.

I also figure that, if the price drops, I'll get a credit which I can use on our flight home. I figured I couldn't really lose if I booked now, but I could really lose if the flights keep going up. With free dining and the Memorial holiday, I kinda doubt the prices will drop much (but I am hoping they will!!!).

I woke up this morning and saw that they were posted until June 3rd and was super excited. I got $89 both ways from Buffalo to Orlando. I jumped on it as I haven't seen them lower then that in my last 6 months of watching.

We're also flying at the same time from KC to Disney. I'm holding off. When they released flights for our Dec trip they were high like this and we held off and end up getting them for $74 about 6 weeks later.

Well dang, if they go down, make sure you let me know. :) I could definitely do $74. Which flights are you taking? I'm thinking we'll do the early morning nonstop out, and have no idea what we're doing back...

89$ seems to be the new 49-59$ fare for the NS from BUF to MCO, and you usually have to get it first day out

lowest we have obtained in last few months for trips in december and january was 84$

reflecting back when we first started flying MCO on Santos, the fare on the charter used to be at least 250 r/t, thus the SW fares are still a good deal out of buffalo

We'll probably book the 8:35am non stop going down.

I just looked at dates we are thinking about traveling and I found the prices on their dates that just opened up to be pretty high. For us I have to travel 2 1/2 hours to get to the airport where Southwest is located. Add the travel, gas, and parking on top of their already higher airfares and it isn't worth it. I can usually get fares for $89-$99 out of Portland on JetBlue if I catch them on sale. Southwest wanted $118. With four of us that is over $232 more not counting any taxes, etc.

I only booked our flight to MCO from Buffalo $89 (thurs)
I wanted non-stop and from MCO to Buffalo they are $114. (sun)
Think Ill wait and see what the prices return is for Air Tran and Jet Blue as I like the 1:50 flight return time.

Anyone know when the air tran/ jet blue will open up more booking dates into May/June?

My travel dates won't be up on SW until November 18th...then they will open up the schedule until the end of August :thumbsup2

Are you sure the dates will open through the end of August on Nov. 18th? I thought I read on their site that they would open dates through Aug. 12th. I am also traveling the end of August so I don't want to miss the chance to purchase our tickets the morning the schedule is released. It actually seems like they are opening dates much sooner than in the past (good for us!!!!)

I'm pretty happy with the prices, not thrilled but happy. The cost of flights in Nov and Dec for my the time and dates I wanted was about $154 each way (but my flights were free because of my rapid rewards) so I was afraid we'd be looking at high prices for our trip May 21th to May 28th.
For this up coming trip I again have enough rapid rewards for my flight so it's cost effective for us to go with SW, the cost for the rest of the family was $227 round trip each. Going with SW means we can each take our checked luggage and going with a 3 year this will be nice.
I am glad that the fare was lower than I was expecting since we are travelling a Saturday to Saturday, and I was able to get the flight times I wanted.
So a family vacation to WDW and a Disney Cruise is on :cool1:

We booked Hartford to Orlando round trip April 29 to May 9 $79 each way. We have never booked this early, but I don't think we'll see fares this low again, even with a ding. :cool1:

I was on Southwest at 6:25 am eastern time this morning and a lot of the fares were already sold out for May 1st :confused3: I could not get a non-stop flight home to Manchester so had to book with one stop at $118 one way and now the same flight is up to $277

Good catch ;)...sorry about the misinformation...I thought I read 8/25, but it actually states:

We are currently accepting air reservations through June 3, 2011. On November 18, we will open our schedule for sale through August 12, 2011. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently.

Guess I was just overly excited about being able to book for June in November:) You are right they do seem to be opening the schedules much earlier, last year if I remember correctly we did not book our flight for May until January.
