SW/Universal logistical questions

We are in the very early stages of planning a short trip late in 2015. Our oldest turns 11 next August and we are hoping to save enough to surprise her with a Hogwarts letter & spend a few days split between SeaWorld and US/IOA. We are planning to fly down, spend 1 day at SW, then 2 at US/IOA. We are not renting a car.
Logistically, I am wondering about splitting the stay between two partner hotels to take full advantage of the benefits. How would we do this with luggage and all? Ideally we would check in at the SeaWorld hotel the night we arrive, then check out the next morning and head to SeaWorld for the day, then that evening check into the Universal hotel. I am guessing we can catch a shuttle from SeaWorld to the Universal hotel but I don't know where we would put luggage while in SeaWorld.
Alternately, we would just stay at a Universal hotel and take a shuttle to SeaWorld but if anyone will know if our ideal plan is possible, it's all of you :) Thanks in advance!

I would think it would be easier to just stay at Universal hotel and take shuttle from hotel to seaworld. That's what we did in May and it was easy. Just get your tickets from excursion desk night before. It's free and shuttle will be right at hotel.

Just a total suggestion here... but is your daughter really into sea life? If not, I'd say skip SW and do all 3 days at Universal. Usually you can find 3 days tickets for the same price as 2 day... and I think she'd like it better.

That's what I figured, but I thought I would ask! :) We asked the girls what else they wanted to do next trip and they both mentioned SeaWorld, so we figured we would squeeze it in on this one. Thanks for the help!

Hi, We are spending 2nights at SeaWorld and then going to Universal for a couple nights next month. I don't think the free shuttles that go from park to park, will take your luggage. I'm thinking for us, a taxi or car service to go from SW to Uni. Just thought I'd mention it.
