SW Ticketless Travel Funds Question

I have some travel funds from cancelled flights. The expiration date for these funds is May 7, 2007.

Q: Do the funds have to be USED by this date, or just RESERVED for future travel? Can I reserve by May 7 using these funds for July travel or not?

I suspect I'll get faster and more accurate info here than from 1-800-SWA! TIA.

I happen to have our itinerary things on my desk here and it says:

All travel involving funds from this confirmation # must be COMPLETED by <insert expiration date here>.

I take this to mean you must complete the actual flight by then. I have heard you can get an extension, usually 6 months. So call SW and ask if you want to fly after your expiration date!

If you are flying later and call them they might give you and extention.

Thanks for the information. I figured it would expire on that date. I'll have to call to try to get an extension for our summer travel.

Otherwise, I told DH we might be taking a quick WDW trip for Easter. I got "the look", but it'd be better than letting it expire.
