Hi all you SW experts-

Can we cancel a SW internet fare ticket and getour cc credited (for a fee of course)? If so how much? I jumped too soon and US Airways actually has better fares but only for r-t.

They will not credit your CC when you cancel an Internet fare.

They will issue you a Ticketless Travel Voucher good for one year from Date of Purchase. This is one way they keep their prices low.

Now if you keep them same flights and they go cheaper then that difference in price can sometimes be credited back to your CC or if you have the fully refundable fare.

I know that is the case in general, but I was under the impression you could call and plead your case. Last year was the first year they didn't credit my card, and were rather firm that it was a credit for future use, and I always want to go somewhere, so I took the credit. Others on this board were able toget a refund. Sorry no search to back up my theory!
