just trying to figure out... is “Star Wars: Path of the Jedi” a film shown in the Launch Bay?
Or is the film something separate from the Launch Bay. It is unclear on the map of HS I have. It doesn’t mention the Launch Bay at all.
Thanks!

This isn't in the launch bay. This is over near Indiana Jones. Here's what it says from Disney:

"Watch a short film retelling the blockbuster Star Wars saga and get a peek at the future of the galaxy in Star Wars: The Last Jedi."

Thanks- so it’s two separate things?
I’m planning a trip with my SW loving son and don’t want to miss anything SW related.

Yea this is separate. This is shown in its own movie theater style building. It's in-between Frozen sing along and the Jedi Training Academy.

The Launch Bay also has a short video as well that's different. If it's still there, I haven't watched it since the Launch Bay first opened. The launch bay also has meet and greets, paintings, props, store, can make a custom phone case or magic band.

Out of all the Star Wars stuff...Launch bay, movies, fireworks, stage show, imperial March...if you had to skip anything I would skip the short movies. But a star wars fan will love it all

We ended up skipping both movies. There was just too much else to do. Kylo Ren is a must do... great character interaction, and unexpected but really good was our interaction with Storm Troopers who are inside to the left when you enter Launch Bay. I enjoyed the March of the First Order and the stage show more than I thought I would and the evening fireworks show was great. I'd say our only disappointment was the merchandise shopping... lots of high end stuff but kind of meh everything else.

The Stormtroopers do not usually pose for photos while on patrol, however they make a few stops specifically for photos. That location you're referring to, Celebration Gallery, is one of them. They also stop just outside the entrance to the Launch Bay, on the right side. You may also run into them anywhere in the Launch Bay and outside in the Animation Courtyard.

Where do you think the best spot to watch the SW fireworks is? To see everything well?

Lol- I found Launch Bay on the map- not sure how I missed it.

The film is completely skippable - particularly for SW fans. The time is much better spent doing other things at DHS. There is nothing unique or special about the film - it’s just parts of all the SW movies spliced together with very basic voiceover narration about the story. Nor is there anything special about the theater. Or the experience. It’s essentially a trailer for the series but sort of cheesy instead of exciting (instead of blockbuster movie trailer, it’s more the quality of an educational film like you’d see playing in one of those empty side rooms at a museum or in a high school science class). The target audience really seems to be anyone who found themselves wandering around DHS and wondering what all this stuff is about the “Star Wars”.

This is a link to Robo's maps... they are the best. Scroll down a ways and you will find HS fireworks viewing.

Based on this map and advice here... we arrived early 8:40ish (30 min prior to Movie Magic 9:10pm, 50 min prior to Star Wars 9:30pm) and had a good spot center right. I was there on May 4th so it was mobbed, maybe not so bad other times?? The crowd was very mellow and all sitting down. 5 min before Movie Magic started a CM asked everyone to stand up and move closer together to make more room :headache::crowded: which we did. We used the opportunity to move more to the middle. Both shows were awesome! Don't worry about the SW stage, they drive that away.
