SW is killing me!!!

Got a DING today for Kansas City to Orlando. Holy Cow!!!! 115.00 each way. Are they kidding me? By the time they decide to release dates past December 12th, airfare will be skyhigh. Gas keeps going up, and looks like so will my airfare. I need the 17th of Dec.

I'd probably jump on the $115 airfare, if you can get that for 12/17. Keep in mind that Dec. 17 is getting pretty close to the Christmas travel rush. SW won't need to offer Dings to fill their seats at that point. $115 would be VERY cheap travel for that time of year, if you can get it.

I'm in Kansas City, too, and have been disappointed in the SW fares, especially when you compare them to the fares being offered from the Northeast. We are probably going to drive to Orlando if we go at Christmas. With the price of gas, it probably won't be much cheaper though. I just read that Walt Disney originally wanted to put Disney World in St. Louis, but the mayor blocked it. I would like to hunt that man down.....

I gave up and booked my return flight with Airtran during a fare sale there. They had a time that I liked better too. I was getting frustrated waiting and feel I got a great price and preferred flight. Sorry SWA...I got tired of waiting!

It hadn't even occurred to me that the holiday travel would start to pick up that Saturday, 12/17, which is when we are flying home, so I am extra glad I jumped on that fare.

Would love to book the flight, but alas my dates are not until the 17th. I have over 1,300 in credit with SW from cancelling in August. We decided the heat was too much. Now we are waiting for SW to let the rest of their schedule be known so we can book and use the credit we have. I would gladly pay the 115.00 if they would release the dates. Waiting, but not so patiently.

We're flying out of MCI in March. What makes me sick is that fares are $59 right now MCI to MCO!

I'm still waiting on SW for Nov. 25-Dec. 4 specials JAN to MCO.

They keep offering $39 but never for the dates I need!!!

Me too!!!!!! I would love to get $59.00 each way. Heck I would settle 99.00 if they would just release dates.
